Users now have several joining methods for drainage pipes with only one product – be it cast iron, plastic or even mixed installation systems. The DCS RAPID DN 100 can be applied fast and easily without the need of special tools. Furthermore, the connector is a fast alternative to welding. “This offers tangible benefits for users,” says Heiko Foering, Product Manager Industry Applications EMEA at NORMA Group. “The teams on the construction site gain time for other tasks. And on construction sites where no welding equipment or electrical power is available, the DCS RAPID DN 100 is an even better choice.” The connector can also be applied when pipes need to be cut or for repairs, avoiding waste of remaining material.
Thoroughly tested
The NORMACONNECT DCS RAPID drainage pipe connector is certified for the connection of fittings and pipes made of cast iron according to EN 887, building on a legacy of over 40 years in usage. NORMA Group now successfully completed testing of the DCS RAPID DN 100 with several versions of plastic connections common in drainage systems, such as PP-H (HT overground drainage), PVC-U (KG underground drainage) and Polyethylene (PE/HDPE high-density polyethylene for over- and underground drainage) pipes. The external laboratory examination1 was performed with pressure tests according to the same requirements of the cast iron specimen. All tests showed that the product is fit to use for the above mentioned plastic materials for drainage pipes with the dimension of DN 100 (OD 110 mm).
“Our products need to be easy to use, while following our ‘fit and forget’ approach which stands for highest quality and reliability. With the extended application range of our tried and tested DCS RAPID DN 100 connector for plastic pipes, we offer our customers in the construction industry a time-saving and flexible solution for various pipe materials,” says Heiko Foering.
The DCS RAPID DN 100 connector is available immediately and listed with leading parts distributors.
